OUR PROCESS
RESEARCH | DEVELOPMENT | PROTOTYPING | ARTWORK PREPARATION | PRODUCTION
RESEARCH
The research step of our process is the most important one of all. We take a look at the goals and objectives of a project and establish a design brief that we can refer back to at any time. In the design brief, our goal is to understand both your brand and the projects application, channel distribution, brand guidelines, budgetary information, timelines and sustainability goals, among other things.
>> YOUR PART IN OUR PROCESS
We want your packaging project to be as successful as possible. Providing us with these items up front can help us make the best decisions for your long term goals.
Providing us with physical samples and/or product drawings + specs will allow us to make sure your packaging has the perfect fit and function.
*Please send samples to 2011 29th St NW, Canton, OH 44709, USA
Your branding guidelines are an invaluable tool for design and printing. We want to make sure your project bolsters your brand identity.
Eco-friendly choices can boost your brand awareness and customer loyalty. We will work with you to achieve your “green” goals.
We try to be transparent in all aspects of what we do. Being up front about budget constraints helps us meet your spending goals.
This information helps influence both visual and functional design decisions. We aim to design for the best user experience possible.
Is the product retail, DTC or both? What are your projections for the future of the product? We design the packaging for the now with the future in sight.
DEVELOPMENT
This is the step when your project starts to come to life! Using the information that we gathered in the first step, we provide you with carefully tailored options to choose from. In this stage we will narrow down the best solutions for the project including: materials, structures, inks, coatings and production methods while keeping your budget and end goals in mind.
PROTOTYPING
Using the materials that we established in the development step, we provide you with physical prototypes and/or 3D renderings to test and review. If your project involves packaging, we verify that the proposed structure(s) will be functional, fit and protect your product(s), easy to assemble, and durable through transit while being aesthetically pleasing. If you require any changes, we will make adjustments and supply you with new prototypes to make sure that you are fully satisfied before we go into production.
ARTWORK PREPARATION
Once prototypes and physical samples are approved, we will provide you with structural die lines or templates as EPS files for artwork placement. These files will include final measurements, bleed lines and non-printing areas. For the best end result, please have your designer reference our Artwork Requirements for minimum types sizes, color settings and other design specifications. After we receive your artwork files, our Prepress Team will review them and send out color (including drawdowns if necessary) and content proofs for you to approve prior to production.
PRODUCTION
Your project is nearing the finish line! Now that we have received structural and artwork approvals, we can begin our production process. We will order any tooling necessary and prepare efficient print layouts using the latest software available. Our team of skilled machine operators make sure that every process is performed to meet the highest of quality standards. We make sure that your product functions exactly as you intended and looks even better than you could have hoped for!
